Prince Brown, formerly known by his stage moniker 'SwaggStar', is a multifaceted renaissance man; a lifestyle model, skateboarder, multimedia designer and international hip hop recording artist. Prince has achieved international success with his artistry completing tours in both Asia and South America.
Mr. Miller, his grade school teacher told him, "You have great potential and ability to reach for the stars. Always remember if you miss, make sure you end up on the moon." Among Prince,s musical influences are legends 2Pac, Jay-Z and Notorious B.I.G. Prince also appreciates music from various genres including RnB, Jazz and gospel.
Prince decided to go back to his birth name to symbolize his personal growth and maturity. "I'm proud of what we built with the SwaggStar Brand but it no longer is an accurate representation of me," says Prince. My musical ambitions have changed and I wanted to reflect that," says the artist. When Prince was born, many of the nurses and doctors referred to him as "The Baby Prince" because of his charming smile; His mother decided to keep the name.
Skateboarding and its culture fascinated Prince from an early age. His dedication to the sport had given him the privy to meet and skate with some of skateboarding' elite: Stevie Williams, Tony Hawk, Kareem Campbell, Trevor Houlighan and Sammy Baptista to name a few. Fuelled by tenacity and resilience, Prince consistently improved landed him endorsement and sponsorship deals
respectively. Past companies include Grindking (trucks), Traction (wheels) and Monkey Hardware. Prince's marketability continues to land him modeling campaigns including Ov3rdos3 Clothing and Oakbay Street Wear.
Prince endured an itinerant childhood living throughout North America and Caribbean cities with his record executive mother. Prince got his feet wet from watching major artists perform on international stages for massive crowds of 30K or more.
Prince launched his professional photography and video production company, Global Film Works in 2017. His love for fashion modeling and skateboarding further fuelled his love for the graphic arts. To further visibility for his brand and talents, Prince invested a substantial amount into high performance camera and video editing equipment. He began producing and directing his own viral videos.
